Ceramic tableware tariffs: the rates that decide your landed cost.
Landed cost is decided in Brussels and Washington before it is decided at the kiln.
In 2025–2026 the trade-measure layer of ceramic tableware moved more than freight ever does: the EU replaced company-specific anti-dumping rates with a unified 79.0%, and the US closed the de minimis shortcut. This page states the current measures per market, with instruments and dates, and the standing rule we quote by: every CERAMICS quote line states its duty basis explicitly.
Quotation basis, standing rule. Every quote line is labeled AD duty included (DDP) or AD duty excluded (DAP); VAT and local taxes are stated separately. No anti-dumping duty is ever folded silently into a unit price.
From 13.1–36.1% to a unified 79.0%.

Source: EUR-Lex, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/274. Status retrieved September 2026 — trade measures move, and we re-confirm before any EU contract. Practical effect: China-direct DDP into the EU has lost economic viability for most programs since February 2026, which is why EU quotations must show the duty line explicitly.
Company-specific rates, under review from July 2026.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Current regime | Anti-dumping duty on Chinese ceramic tableware and kitchenware of 13.1–36.1%, by company (gov.uk notice: Anti-Dumping Duty 2378) |
| Company-specific rates | 13.1% to 18.3% depending on the exporter; 36.1% residual rate for all other companies |
| Review status | TRA interim review running from 1 July 2026 — rates may change mid-program and are confirmed in writing before each contract |
No AD/CVD order — but Section 301, stacked tariffs and no de minimis.
| Item | Status (retrieved September 2026) |
|---|---|
| AD/CVD orders on HTS 6911 / 6912 | None found in effect in public case listings. "Not found" is not "impossible" — we re-verify against the case database before any contract is signed. |
| Section 301 | Most 6911/6912 codes sit on List 3: +25% since 10 May 2019, stacked with the current reciprocal tariffs in force. Verified per 10-digit code at order time. |
| De minimis (USD 800) | Suspended from 29 August 2025 (EO 14324; continued by EO 14388). Every parcel now clears formally — DDP with duties prepaid is the only stable model. |
HS 6911 or 6912: the code behind the rate.
| HS code | Covers | Typical CERAMICS programs |
|---|---|---|
| HS 6911 | Porcelain or china tableware and kitchenware | High-fired porcelain and bone china lines |
| HS 6912 | Other ceramic tableware and kitchenware (stoneware and alike) | Stoneware and other ceramic body programs |
Duty outcomes are read at the 10-digit level and final classification rests with customs. We confirm the working code in writing before quoting — a classification error is the most expensive way to save time.
Tariff questions we hear most.
Why did the EU rate jump to 79%?+
The February 2026 interim review (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/274) revoked all individual company rates and set a single 79.0% anti-dumping duty on Chinese ceramic tableware, effective 7 February 2026. The measure is under legal challenge; we track its status and re-confirm before any EU contract.
Does the US charge anti-dumping duty on ceramic tableware?+
We found no AD/CVD order on HTS 6911/6912 as of retrieval (September 2026). US orders still carry Section 301 List 3 duty (+25%) stacked with the current reciprocal tariffs, plus formal clearance since de minimis ended on 29 August 2025. Rates are verified per 10-digit code before signing.
Will my quote include duties?+
Always labeled. EU and US lines read "AD duty included (DDP)" or "AD duty excluded (DAP)", with VAT and local taxes stated separately. Nothing duty-shaped hides inside a unit price — you can model landed cost from the quote sheet alone.
Which HS code applies to my products?+
Porcelain and bone china tableware classifies under HS 6911; stoneware and other ceramic bodies under HS 6912. The binding decision rests with customs at the 10-digit level; we confirm the working code in writing before quoting.
