Seasonal ceramic tableware is not won at the design stage — it is won on the calendar. The freight windows are fixed and public; the buyers who land Halloween, Christmas and Ramadan lines are the ones who count backward from the on-shelf date and lock molds before the peak-season queue forms.
Three anchor dates, one fixed window.
The sea and rail windows below are typical figures and they do not negotiate. Everything else — golden sample, mold, production — counts backward from your on-shelf date. Production windows are fixed per SKU at quotation.
| Season line | Anchor date | The window that decides (typical) | How to count back |
|---|---|---|---|
| Halloween | 31 October | Sea express China–US 15–25 days; rail China–EU 18–35 days | On-shelf date, minus the sea window, minus your inbound and listing buffer — sample and molds locked well before that. |
| Christmas | 25 December | Same windows; air at 5–10 days US / 7–15 days EU as the late top-up | Q4 parcels clear duty-paid into the US since 29 August 2025 — model the landed cost on that basis before pricing the line. |
| Ramadan & Eid | Moves earlier through the solar calendar each year | Same sea and rail windows | Confirm the retail window per market first, then count back — do not reuse last year’s calendar. |
Transit windows are typical ranges, retrieved September 2026, subject to market movement; lane specifics are confirmed per shipment on the Global Shipping page.
Q4 capacity is contested. The queue decides who ships.
Every buyer in the band is racing the same kiln calendar. The winners are rarely the biggest — they are the earliest:
- Lock molds and golden samples early. A seasonal shape that starts development in peak season waits behind every program that started in spring.
- Book the window, not the goods. Reserving production and vessel space against agreed dates beats chasing spot capacity at Q4 rates.
- Price the air premium as insurance. Late top-ups at 5–10 days US / 7–15 days EU (typical) are cheaper than an empty shelf — budget the air line before you need it.
- Decide dated versus undated early. Undated seasonal motifs can carry over; dated designs must sell through or be planned for clearance.

Seasonal SKUs follow the same MOQ ladder — plan the exit too.
- The MOQ ladder does not bend for holidays — stock lines at 500 pcs per item typical, custom development at 1000–3000 pcs typical; seasonal versions included, confirmed per SKU.
- Depth beats breadth. Fewer seasonal SKUs at sellable depth outperform a wide range that strands partial cartons of six designs.
- Plan the exit when you place the order — carry-over window for undated designs, planned clearance channel for dated ones. An exit strategy agreed at quotation costs nothing; improvised in January, it costs margin.

Seasonal questions we hear most.
When should christmas dinnerware wholesale orders be placed?+
Count backward from the on-shelf date your channel demands: a US-bound reorder needs the 15–25 day sea express window (typical), an EU-bound one 18–35 days by rail, plus inbound and listing buffers — and molds and golden samples must be locked before that, before peak-season production queues form. Air at 5–10 days US / 7–15 days EU is the top-up insurance, not the plan.
What MOQ do seasonal ceramic SKUs need?+
The same ladder as the rest of the catalog: logo or stock work at 500 pieces per item typical, glaze and mold customization at 1000–3000 pieces per item typical, confirmed per SKU at quotation. Seasonal demand argues for depth on fewer SKUs rather than minimums across many.
What happens to stock that misses the season?+
That is decided when the order is placed, not after. Undated seasonal motifs carry into next year’s channel; dated designs go to a planned clearance route agreed in advance. What destroys margin is improvising the exit in January — which is why depth discipline and the dated-versus-undated decision happen at quotation.
